Here, you’ll find everything you need to know about BOE Advance, a semester-long career development program within Northeastern’s Business of Entertainment Club.

BOE Advance is designed to give students the foundational tools, industry knowledge, and hands-on experience needed to break into the business of film, music, and media — all while becoming part of a close-knit entertainment community.

Through workshops, projects, guest speakers, and guided support, BOE Advance helps students build confidence, learn the language of the industry, and gain tangible experience they can carry into co-op recruiting and beyond.

About Us

BOE Advance is a guided cohort experience. Students learn the basics of the entertainment industry, build tangible projects, and grow their networks in a supportive, close-knit environment.

Why BOE Advance?

We know that countless students at Northeastern are passionate about the entertainment industry but lack a clear path or a community of people who share that interest. It can be hard to find others who are equally invested, understand the industry, or are navigating similar career goals. BOE Advance was created to give students that missing space.

Our program is designed to give students real value:

Program Structure

BOE Advance runs from February 4th to April 8th, with weekly meetings on Wednesdays from 7:00 - 8:30 pm.
